Love Brazil...don't care for the lyrics. Just sayin'...

  1. don't care for the lyrics? I've been visiting your blog for a long time and this really surprises me.

How can you like those other song lyrics, but not this one? Makes no sense, this guy is really good.

& he put Brazil in a good light for the world to see, unlike 99% of the U.S. rappers that shoot music vids in Brazil.

  2. Are you based in Brazil? I'll be visiting soon. I love the culture of Brazil. I'm a very visual person, and the video is visually appealing. The musical production was very 'clean' with the Madonna sample, but the lyrics were 'blah' and felt out of place. Anything I post that is lyrically garbage, probably has great production. I only care about production, and not so much the lyrics. Let me know what contents you'd like to see more of...

  3. this is definitely not lyrically garbage, this is a strong thing to say for someone who only cares about production.

why not just say you dont' listen to lyrics and keep it at that? who do you like lyrically that is currently in the industry? i'm curious to find out who you find as good lyrically bc i think tijean is way better than anyone out now, certainly all of the new people.

This guy is great with lyrics - I'm more into lyrics than production.

    based in Brazil but American.

  4. Lyrically I think we have to consider B.O.B., Wale, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar, Mos Def, Curren$y,Nas, J.Cole, Big L, Big Pun, Jay Z, Andre 3000, Big Boi, etc. I could go on and on, but in the current landscape of "hip hop", production is king (see: Rick Ross).

  5. cool, if you listen to his mixtape (to judge off of a few tracks, not just one commercial joint), let me know what you think. tijean is my new fave new kid on the block and is as good as those you named....but you have heard many of their songs and only one of his. i'm really into getting new voices in hiphop out in the world, so i was happy to see thatyou posted his video today.

let me know what you think.

in the mean time, i will think of other content i would liek to see on your blog.

  6. Thank you for your input. I will check him out. I'm always open to new music. But again, thank you, and I'm still jealous that you're in O Brazil and I'm stuck here, stateside. Paz e amor, irmão.

  9. I'm listening to his IamHipRock.com mixtape...not really impressed. But, again, that's a matter of opinion.

  10. True, everyone has an opinion.

    Good luck with the blog!

  11. I don't know man, but I think you are wrong blogger. Ti'Jean is very nice.

Maybe you don't like him for other reasons, but the dude has skills. I checked your entire blog and from your other "likes" and approvals, Ti'Jean would fit.

Once I saw you like Chief Keef but not Ti'Jean I decided to no longer visit your blog: Chief Keef but not Ti'Jean? Really?

    1. It's not personal. I don't know why you're personalizing my tepid response to Ti'Jean. As far as Chief Keef goes, I sometimes post content because I find the irony funny, especially when you look at the blog as whole. Not everybody is going to like everything you like. That would be aggressively boring. Peace and love...
