Today, the world has lost a great soul. Ernie Barnes (1938-2009), football player turned world renowned artist, passed away. I've always been a big fan of Ernie Barnes' work. You can easily see how he has left his fingerprints on the Black experience through his expressive artwork. May he rest in peace eternally.

If the album's thrash, at least it'll have a tight cover...

I can't believe it! The Tuna and crew made a smart move Saturday by getting my boy Pat White out of West Virginia. He'll be a perfect fit at any position if the Dolphins stay with that Wildcat system for next season. For the first time in my life, I think I might become a Dolphan? No, will wait on that. But, I'll definitely watch more games if White gets some burn his rookie season. For those of you who have been sleeping under a rock, Pat White is probably the most electrifying offensive player out the Big East since Larry Fitzgerald. During his tenure at West Virginia, he could hurt you with his left arm and feet.
I know a lot of scouts are sleeping on him in terms of being a QB at the next level, but I know he can do it. I mean, if Cleo friggin' Lemon can play a few downs in a Dolphin uniform, then my boy White should get a chance in mini camp, feel me? I'll just keep my eyes open this summer to see how Miami will play him. Here are some of his combine stats from NFL.com:

Height: 6'0"
Weight: 197
College: West Virginia
Conference: Big East
Hometown: Daphne, AL
High School: Daphne

Combine Results:
40 Yard Dash : 4.55 seconds
Vertical Jump : 35.0 inches
Broad Jump : 117.0 inches
3 Cone Drill : 7.06 seconds
20 Yard Shuttle : 4.42 seconds

Dolphins GM: Pat White is a quarterback
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal : Sunday, April 26, 2009 2:36 PM

Former West Virginia QB Pat White might be the most exciting and talked about No. 44 pick in NFL Draft history. His selection by Miami, home of the Wildcat offense, started a round of questioning. Here are some answers.

1. Let's call it the WildPat, shall we? And uh, yeah, the Dolphins are going to use White heavily in their gadget offense. It's going to be a lot tougher to defend with a true passing threat.

2. White is a quarterback; he's not going to work at wide receiver. In fact, Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland says that White will compete with Chad Henne to be Miami's quarterback of the future.

This isn't as crazy as you'd think. Analysts such as Mike Mayock and Ron Jaworski thought White was a top-four quarterback in this draft. Jaws said no quarterback had better anticipation than White. He can throw it. And he can run it.

This is going to be a lot of fun, unless you are an opposing coach.

I'm trying to learn how to swim now. I'm preparing for my Key West snorkling trip. Right now, I'm just a mess in the pool, but I should be good by the end of May, just in time for the summer. And, I'm getting serious about my health too. Now, all I need is some good ol' fashion discipline and I'm good. Once I'm done with the Bildadic program, I shouldn't have a neck, and I should be able to crack a walnut with my ass cheeks. You'll see, soon.

The Genesis...

So, my brother said I should start my own blog, because I'm a pretty fly guy. This is true. I have a very eclectic taste in everything from music to clothes, and it is my duty to share that taste with my teeming fans across Bildadic Nation.
